F1 raceing car project

For the past 2 weeks we have been working on a computerised car project. First we had to put each corner and straight in to different categories, long straight, medium straight and short straight and long bend, medium bend and steep bend from the length /angle of the straight/bend shown on the map. Then we had to set up our car by changing the engine tuning, suspension, aerodynamics and gearbox to get the best effect on different turns and straights. Finlay we had to choose which tyres we want our cars to race on and the amount of fuel we want on board at the start and if we wanted any pit stops. We could choose which sort of driver we had, from sedate to dangerous.

The race around silverstone was long (partially because Mr White had it on slow commentary until half way and because it was 25 laps long) and frustrating but in the end the winner was Jordan R (me!) 18 seconds ahead of the runner up!!!
